In order for us to maintain that we are a first class resort on
Lake of the Woods, it is important to ensure that beautiful accommodations and exceptional service are available to our guests. It is also
just as important to have the appropriate supplies and equipment
to guarantee a memorable vacation. That is why we get a brand new
fleet of 17' Triumph Boats as well as new19 ft Triumph cruisers. We want to make sure our guests have
the best equipment to help them catch the fish they want.
At Totem Lodge and Yellowbird Lodge and Chalet, guests who have the Complete American Plan package are treated to new 19' Triumph Boats. Each boat comes with a new 130 h.p Evinrude E-TEC motor, 9.9 h.p trolling motor, depth finder, two-way VHF marine band radio, navigation lights, all boat equipment (including Personal Floatation Devices), coolers and live wells. After a day of fishing, new 17' Triumph boats are available to guests for evening use at no additional charge.

Our Guides are One of a Kind!
To ensure that your fishing or hunting trip will be a success, guides are available to help you on your excursion. Our Fishing Guides are experts on Lake of the Woods, especially
since they are on it every day from the Spring break-up to the Winter
freeze-up .Likewise, our Hunting Guides are seasoned professionals who make their concern for guest safety a priority.
Our Guides have worked years of apprenticeship and are proud of being professionals. As well as making sure that you "reel in the big ones", Fishing Guides are also happy to prepare a delicious and authentic shorelunch second to none for their guests.
Our Bear Hunting Guides specialize in pre-baiting and putting guests on an active bait. Our Duck Hunting Guides have a wealth of experience due to the abundance of wild rice bays in the area and the hundreds of ducks that inhabit them each fall.
Should you and your group want to try something different, a fly-out can be arranged to a remote lake at an approximate cost of $675.00 US per person, with no charge for your Guide's flight if you are on one of our complete packages at Totem or Yellowbird. Or, for $100.00 US per boat, you can take your cruiser on a boat lift through our local Native village, and experience a portage to a secluded lake with 25 miles of untouched wilderness... or take a one mile nature walk to our exclusive Walleye and Northern portage lake, or for our Wiley Point guests, go to Shoal Lake for Trophy fishing.
If you have a favorite Guide you would like to request for a trip, let us know. Although we can not guarantee their availability, we'll do our best to try to set you and your party up with the guide of your choice.
Trophies, Mounts and Replicas
During your fishing adventure on the Lake of the Woods, there is a good chance you will catch the "big one". As proof of your superb angling abilities, you may decide to have your trophy fish mounted or, another option we encourage is to take a picture of your catch and measure length and girth tten carefully release it back into the lake and have a life-like replica made.
Portage Lakes & Fly Outs
A short trip from the Lodge and a scenic portage brings you to Rat Trap Lake. After boating through the lily pads, experience great Walleye and Northern fishing. Or take the Dog Paw boat lift for Trout, Bass, Muskie, Crappie and Northern Pike. Enjoy nature at it's finest. Bring your camera.
